Our anti-aging facial is designed to revitalise and plump skin. This effective treatment is recommended for mature skin or first signs of aging. Treatment includes a deep facial cleanse and toner; the face, neck and shoulders are then treated to a hydrating oil massage followed by replenishing moisturisers applied to the face.

Skin is thoroughly cleansed and toned, then face, neck and shoulders are treated to a sensuous oil massage, skin exfoliation and richly hydrating mask. Our advanced anti-aging facial boosts the skin’s natural repair and renewal processes leaving it rejuvenated and refreshed. The relaxing treatment includes a deep facial cleanser, and toner to thoroughly clean and invigorate the skin; oil is then massaged into the face, neck and shoulders followed by an uplifting skin exfoliation. A deep hydration mask is applied to the face and whilst this is being gently absorbed, the hands are treated to a massage and anti-ageing moisturiser.

This transformative face mask is perfect for first signs of aging or maturing skin. The face is left plump, uplifted and defined with smoother and clearer tone. A deeply relaxing massage, perfect for combatting stress and anxiety or releasing muscle pressure. Concentrating on the neck and shoulders, gentle circular motions relieve tension and tight muscles, soothing the body to help dissipate strains and alleviate concerns.

Massage using natural creams focussing on increasing circulation and reducing fluid retention using a variety of massage techniques applied to the hands, wrists and forearms, feet, ankles, shin and calf muscles. Holistic Therapies
A calming and non-intrusive therapy where pressure is applied to specific parts of the feet, hands and ears to correspond with areas of the body. Reflexology aims to restore a greater sense of natural balance within the body, reduce stress and increase a sense of happiness and wellbeing. It is an excellent therapy to remedy stress and anxiety.

Reflexology
Reiki
Reiki is an ancient Japanese alternative medicine, used to heal people physically and mentally. Reiki is profoundly mediative, using forms of hypnosis to enhance a truly relaxed state of mind and body.
The therapy uses palm healing, or hands-on healing, to pass the universal lifeforce of energy from practitioner to client, focusing on specific areas requiring healing. The preferred technique is to ‘lay hands’ on the body but Reiki can also be achieved through distance healing online or by telephone.
Similar to reflexology, Reiki is non-intrusive, and clients remain clothed either seated or lying down. A hugely beneficial treatment used to aid stress management, assist in the body’s natural healing processes and develop emotional and mental wellbeing.

Crystal Healing
Crystal healing is used to help unblock and balance our natural energies to support in healing our body. All crystals and precious stones have distinct energies and frequencies which react and respond to the body, acting as conduit to pass restorative energies to our bodies.
A crystal grid is created either underneath or beside the client, concentrating specific energies and powers towards the body. If a client is struggling with a mental or emotional question, a technique using a dowsing pendulum amethyst is applied.
The treatment is non-intrusive, and clients remain fully dressed in a lying down position. Physically, crystal healing can help treat stress and anxiety, improve sleep and ease muscle tension and physical pain. On an emotional and spiritual level, crystals enhance self-esteem, remove brain-fog and a better sense of overall wellbeing.

· The headbands we use are disposable
· All cleaning tools are sterilised after each use

We use Kaeso products which are naturally derived and free from parabens, sulphates, propylene glycol and mineral oil; delivering luxurious professional results for all skin types including sensitive. Kaeso products are also non-abrasive, so perfect for using on elderly patients or those being treated for cancer.
Peace of mind
Our therapists are all DBS checked, have personal liability insurance and trained to work in residential and nursing homes. Love of Beauty has public liability insurance of up £10M and product liability up to £2M; ensuring care staff do not have to worry and patients’ families do not need to remain with the patient during treatments.
Our staff are trained in emergency procedures, we do not cut nails or toenails or use metal tools as we understand issues surrounding patients suffering with cancer or diabetes, or taking blood thinners.

Training
All technicians are trained from our specifically designed training handbook. This ensures our staff are up to date with all necessary health and safety requirements to work within a care home or nursing home. If our beauticians consider an experience unsuitable for a client, where possible, they will always offer an alternative treatment. We ask for a list of client’s medications prior to starting a treatment.

Our Team
Gemma founded Love of Beauty in April 2019, following the death of her mother Rosemarie.
Spending so much time with Rosemarie in her care home, Gemma understood the significant importance in providing holistic beauty to people in residential and nursing homes, whose sense of happiness and basic wellness requirements are not always met.
Love of Beauty’s main therapist, Kerrie, treated Rosemarie in her nursing home with luxurious beauty therapies suited to her illness. These treatments hugely amplified Rosemarie’s quality of life. Seeing the positive impact therapies had on her mother inspired Gemma to create Love of Beauty and ensure all people can benefit from feel good therapy.

A qualified beauty therapist since 2017, Kerrie has been Gemma’s business partner and main wing-woman since April 2019! As Beauty Director Kerrie manages and mentors all Love of Beauty’s technicians and looks after new clients.
Kerrie also offers demonstrations for companies interested in Love of Beauty’s services and products.
Outside of work Kerrie has fun with her two young sons and as a keen equestrian, spends rare moments of spare time with horses.
